And she's right, we never will. Nexon doesn't want to mess with this kind of stuff. Discrepancy between the two would be very very difficult. How would I know if my buddy or someone in my guild needed help with Neo Tokyo or Neo City? What if they didn't know the difference? I can imagine there would be plenty of frustrated 12-year olds in our playerbase.
Not to mention we would need renamed duplicates of the monsters, NPCs and maps.
And quests. Quests are the final nail in the coffin here. If there are two identical NPCs, how would people know which quest is for which area? "Well sure", you might say, "I'll just look at the NPC name or know that it's filed under World Tour Quests". I'm not saying I wouldn't know, I'm saying would the general population of Maplestory know? Can you imagine how many angry complaints Nexon would get with people saying they went to Neo City and found the NPC, only to find out that he didn't have the quest, and that it was really in Neo Tokyo and they couldn't differentiate? Or vice-versa?
