I'd put a Dead ringer watch around a chinchilla's body and make it so it's on.

Kill the chinchilla (feign death activates before it gets hurt)

Chinchilla runs away cloaked

I get my money.

I share a 50% profit with the chinchilla, we never speak of this again.
