MapleStory Then and Now

Maplestory has one thing no mmorprg has been able too or risked doing, that is doing a "charming" graphic design. It's colorful, eye-appealing, and easy to play. That's a lot of reasons I like maplestory. I would probably quit if they changed the graphics to something like world of warcraft or such.

That would never happen. Maplestory has and will ALWAYS be famous for being one of the if not the first side scrolling MMO. One thing people like to do is take a blast into the past like with Donkey Kong or something. One thing that always gave Donkey Kong, and Mario Bros it's edge is that it was just SO good with utilizing all the features that 2D side scrolling games at that time had. MapleStory does this and pushes it even further. I think one thing that keep people playing is its simplicity. It's a very easy game to catch on what to do yet things like World of Warcraft I could NEVER get into.It was too complex with the like 8 different currencies and crap. How you die go find your body or lose stats or some crap it was just really confusing.NEXON knows how widely popular MapleStory is and as long as it remains success then it will never die. Even if NEXON does release the Black Mage batte I can promise you more will come. There will be an even bigger enemy to face and more areas WILL come. NEXON did a bold move with the addition of Kresea and they REALLY can develop that area a whole bunch. Elin Forest if they ever go back to it, was a major thing they could work off. There could be a whole nother world inside the Maple World. If NEXON really I mean REALLY took time on this it would be the best area ever. Just imagine if they really fully utilize Elin Forest and make the entire Maple World as it was back then. I don't know about you but if NEXON did that so many people would sorta re fall in love with maple. It would be a whole new game almost.
