What if 4chan never existed?

its not like 4chan absolutely had to come into existence because 2chan existed. There could have been a 3chan made instead that would be moderated by more sane people who saw something similar to Anonymous gathering to their site, responding with a very appropriate 'oh helllllll no.' and pretty much destroying anything posted that was extremely creepy. But i think this 2ch making the thread null thing has been overthought by now.

Though i do believe at some point in time, we would have seen the eventual creation of some site that allowed 'anonymous' to come about. giving the internet a reputation for being creepy as heck.
