Rob Wrote:I find it kinda lame you guys only demonstrate hate for this. Back in 2006 and now, after four years, the game has changed and grown a lot. Makes sense they really show a bit of interest on MapleStory. Hell, it's Nexon cash cow.
Game is sometimes unplayable, glitchy and upsetting, to say the least, but a really nice game overall.
Noone can deny Maplestory has grown a lot in the past years. The question is.... has it grown enough? Will it grow enough? You have other free to play MMOs that are starting to really stand out and receive such high production values that it sort of takes away the magic of Maplestory. Lord of the Rings Online is one fine example. Granted some of us have invested in this game too much to really enjoy breaking off into yet another MMO, what can you say compels one to stick to MS and not go into bigger MMOs which are supplemented?
There is no question Maplestory will need a much bigger development team in the years to come, and much higher production values. Reading that blog gives you a vibe of "we did great with the small team and few resources we had". That's great and all, but it doesn't seem sustainable. The game is starting to show its age. At least support scalable graphics, dudes.
