I really like the looks of the Doomsday staff myself, but can't use it. Who doesn't like damage anyway, 2-3k could mean difference in the number of hits to ko like what many above stated.Personally, damage isn't the reason I chose mage. If I was into that sort of thing I would have gone Hero, Night Lord, or hell, even Bowmaster.
