With anything, there's gonna be problems associated with it, but that is sort of just a fact of life we have to live with.
People want it regardless, sure. But, will YOU get it, even if you're banned from it? How do you know it creates more problems and not less? I sure as heck don't want to raise my car insurance by ignoring the lights to be even half an hour early, or if the government threatened to electrocute my anus, I wouldn't be out stealing a couple hundred bucks.
I can see how people do not prefer such restrictions, and how freedom seems appealing, but I very much doubt when you say it creates less problems if you just give people the means to do what they want.
