IllegallySane Wrote:Do you really want Oda to "speed up" things, and turn it into Naruto? The pace feels great, and I don't mind if their stay on Sabaody took longer. I was amazed at this week's chapter. Roger's younger self, my mind was blown. Also as to the 3rd person protecting the ship, mind was blown yet again. I was also greatly amused both Chopper and Usopp could beat up Zoro and Luffy respectively, albeit it was for comedy it was hilarious comedy. The fact Kuma's secret mission was installed by Vegapunk himself now raises questions about Vegapunks allegiance. Is he himself a secret Revolutionary member as well?
Not at all! He's an excellent writer who gets very descriptive with little/no plotholes. I had just thought the "Road to Fishman Island" story boss would be the war. Fishman Island, in my mind could have been like a vacation area/story-telling of the 2 years + recruiting one new member. But, I admire what Oda's doing. Way better than any other manga I can say.
And what I think Kuma did was something like:
Kuma: I have one final request.
Vegapunk: Hmmm?
Kuma: Download this final mission into my memory banks.
Vegapunk: What purpose do I have for this?
Kuma: It's a special mission I cannot bear to feel like I have failed it before my memory gets wiped.
Vegapunk: Pft. Suit yourself then, Kuma.
Ya know, nothing too too complicated. Then again, knowing Oda, he's going to create some fantastical pomegranate that no one thinks is good, but then have it link it to something important and have everyone nerdgasm-ing rainbows.
