Both a yes and no to this: Yes, there are no definitive fixes, certainly not with shady 3rd party software. There is however a list of products by Microsoft like the newest service pack for your OS, newest version of DirectX and the latest Visual C++ runtime component. There are also folk medicines proven to work like lowering your graphics setting, clicking ok then raising it again if you had graphis set as high and vice versa, and disabling your Japanese/Chinese/Korean/etc. input programs (during gameplay). Post-Big Bang clients should have Vista/7 compatibility so this should become a frivolous issue.
