Other M was pretty terrible. Awful plot aside, the gameplay felt like it was trying to be a mix of the old 2d awesomeness and the new 3d FPS (which I didn't care for, but I can see why people like it) and was worse than both. Hell, most enemy rooms end up being shoot from one end of the room until your auto-targeting kills the other end. That dodge is just plain broken, and first-person mode is probably the most frustrating thing you could ever deal with. Yeah I know you can shake out of it, but it's still a peach. And why am I using a d-pad for a 3d game?
I don't know which Fire Emblem's you've played, but the gamecube and Wii ones generally have more to offer in their gameplay and such. That said, if you don't enjoy the strategy in strategy games, this probably isn't for you.
Similar comment about Galaxies: they end up being just raw, good 3d platformers with the usual Mario flavor mixed in. If you don't enjoy platforming at it's core, don't bother. If you do, I promise you won't be disappointed.
