AAANnd I just found yet another way to make it easier. Snow and Ice. Scaffolding you can melt.
... I shall return. If anyone wants to use that pit next to my place let me know now. I'll be flooding it for a lake and dam if no one else gets an idea for it. Might put a single tower in the center of it from the top to the lowest point in the map before doing that, but otherwise I've dropped plans for it.
