Apologies for my excessively long post. I guess what my response to that is, what gives us the right to judge whether the family of a dead person is suffering more than the family of a disabled person? Is grief at the loss of a loved one worth any less than grief at the loss of a loved one's abilities?
No. I will say that most of us have no right to pass that judgment.
