It's a shame since I love the genre, but with the market of downloadable games (vast majority crap, I know) and steam, I've gotten used to getting a good deal. My problem is that with these sorts of games, I can finish them within a rental. Same happened with that 2D Wii Wario game, was fun and everything and I'd like to go back and play it again sometime, I'm just too cheap these days to pay $50 versus $8-$9 for a rental if I wind up completing the whole thing anyway. Blame the economy.
EDIT: And now that I recall that this is an episodic game, I may wind up waiting on it as well.
