I'm kind of glad I came across this thread. A couple months ago, my cousin and a few of my mother's coworkers were held hostage for about two weeks by "Los Zetas" and my family, and the company/other families paid over 150,000$ dollars just for them to be set free. They were there for business, and all their belongings and merchandise were stolen. I just spoke to my parents, and they both say Ciudad Juarez is by far the most dangerous place in Mexico. Oh, and my mom's boss didn't notify the police at Mexico because almost all of them are corrupt. This happened in Reynosa, Mexico. Another dangerous city, but not as bad as Ciudad Juarez(according to my parents.)
