Welcome to the MapleStory GM Blog! The GM Blog is our way to let you get to know the people who help make MapleStory run a little more smoothly. All our GMs have carte blanche to talk about anything they want. Sometimes it'll be MapleStory related, sometimes it'll be more personal. Sometimes it'll be funny, sometimes it'll be serious. We hope you'll enjoy hearing from our GMs and that you'll talk back on our official forums.
Having a pet is a wonderful and rewarding experience. You take on a lot of responsibility when you learn how to take care of your new friend. In MapleStory, there are several different pets you can have, and just like the real world you can have more than one! Having multiple pets can be exciting, especially when the pets get to know each other and make their own friendships.
When I was growing up, we had a few different pets. We had a dog and two cats. Animals can be very independent and ours were no exception. The two cats did not always get along, and the dog often wanted to play with the cats. He thought they were dogs, too! The cats didnt like that very much.
Pets. You know you love 'em!
When you have a pet or two (maybe even three) there are lots of different things you need to do to take care of them. Depending on the animal, they need to eat special food made just for them. In MapleStory you can get your pet the special food they need, whether its scrumptious Golden Drumsticks for your Baby Tiger or delicious Caramel Beetles for your Jr. Reaper.
You also need to make sure that your pet gets the exercise it needs. Some need to be more active than others. If you have a dog, you need to take it for walks. It was my responsibility to walk our dog when I was growing up. Sometimes it feels like the dog is walking you! Although we had some cute pets when I was a kid, there are some very cute pets in MapleStory. I especially like Kino.
Raising plants and fungi is not always as exciting outside of the game. Plants need water and the right amount of sunlight to grow, but they dont respond very well to commands. Not so with Kino! Feed him Sprouts and teach him tricks! Teaching your pet to do tricks is always fun. It requires patience and love and a large supply of treats.
But isnt it worth it when you ask your pet to sit, they actually do? As you teach your pet new things and take care of their basic needs, you and your pet will become good friends. Just like in MapleStory, your Closeness will rise! That is the most rewarding part of all!
