You have to look at a mage's skills.
CL vs Blizzard.
Pros : Blizzard hits 15 monsters and also hits most of the map. Also, you don't have to really pay attention.
Cons: At level 1 (with maxed amp), it costs 4.2k MP. Boring as hell.
Pros : Um.. it looks cool and with the possibility to hit 6 monsters, you could get some decent range.
Cons: CL hits 'x' damage and lowers everytime it 'chains.' Compared to any other class that isn't a mage, it's weak as hell. What are the chances that 6 monsters are clustered together enough for you to kill them?
On my mage, level 1 Blizzard does 15-20k damage. With level 20 CL, it does about 6-10k damage. Blizzard training would get me around 16%/hr soloing. Training with my other skills would probably get me around 8%. I don't think anyone could get that close to that girl's damage (in the first video) with gMS' current weapon sets making training at places like Cornians harder.
