While I'm just along with everyone in saying that I wish training utilized the other ArchMage skills rather than ultimate spamming for gMS, I have to bring in reality to this picture for lots of people who still don't understand.
To train like the person in the 1st video, the max non-2x exp/hr rates you would be going would be in the 6-8m an hour area, at basically no pot cost. 6-8m exp/hr. In gMS, that's EXTREMELY slow for ANY 4th job Magician, considering we have the ability to spam ultimates with cheap and easy-to-come-by pots; on average I go at LEAST 2x faster than those above rates when training without 2x.
So let's be honest. Yea, the first movie shows how the classes can really be fun, and that training is possible with those skills. But the second video points out the grim reality that even though we have the slower option, no one will choose it because it's slower. To give an example, look at all the 80+ Hermits and Rangers/Snipers training at Newties on that 1 Newtie that never moves. That's probably even MORE boring than spamming field AoE spells, but people do it anyways because it's the FASTEST way to train at that level.
In the end, everyone can agree that training the way the girl does in the first video is the most fun way to train, but when presented with an option that's at LEAST 2x faster, no one will take it. So don't complain that gMS ArchMages are boring; we're doing what any normal person would do when presented with two options for training like this. Choosing the one that is the fastest in the end is only natural.
