Due to your personality and the way you act/are you created a name based of that. You decided to create and call yourself something because it matches who you are.
Creating a name can either be an act of just pure creation that doesn't relate to you, or something that is you. Despite the fact that the word existed before you used it doesn't mean you took any less of a part in creating it and forming it for you.
