The OS the client runs has absolutely nothing to do with how secure it is. The security issues in MapleStory are 100% due to the servers themselves allowing the client to tell the server what is happening, when the client is supposed to be nothing more than a dummy terminal interpreting what the server tells it is happening. The entire core logic the game was built on is flawed and has been a known game design flaw for decades. Any designer with half an ounce of brain knows that in a client->server relationship the server is the brain, not the client because the end user has absolute control over what the client tries to say/do. You can't have multiple subjective realities trying to assert truth over the server - The server needs to be an objective definition of reality or everything goes out the window.
