Found it with just a bit of googling, but from what the guy listed mirror target "(passive 25% dodge, 60% physical/magical def.)" sounds like the puppet will be dodging around and comes with extra def. It doesn't seem like you'll be getting that shadow shifter effect unless it somehow stacks with mirror image.
