Supposedly, the loss on dmg from the %WATK bonus on apple can be anywhere from 25% to 50% for individual cases. For DB and their low base WATK on the Katara, I expect the loss to be even quite bigger (less than 100 total WATK on Katara hits)

Additionally, if we try to be generous in our estimates, +50% luk would be appropriate for an average DB, in which case, the 8%luk you proposed would give over 5.3% total damage boost.

In the end, there isn't really big a difference choosing between those two, even though %luk proves superior to %atk in a rather realistic scenario. Still, OP doesn't boss a lot so I suppose this is out of the picture.

I've seen instances where if you have boss damage % in the first of 3 lines you have a higher chance to get unique potential stats on the next 2 lines.


EX:
Boss damage +30%
Total Damage + 9%
Stat 9%

So overall, if your lucky enough I suppose, you can get more % for your buck that way.
