I feel sorry for this guy, but why?

I thought the age of consent was the age at which you are universally deemed capable of taking responsibility for what you choose to do, as well as all of its consequences.
"Sixteen year olds are never wrong."
Heck, I don't know how you can expect 13 year olds to even spell "responsibility", let alone hold it.

The only thing I feel sorry for this guy for is that he can't go into jail and say to his mates:
"feels good man"

Perhaps this is just me, but looking back at my childhood I don't think my ability to be responsible ever improved - since the day I remember myself, I always knew that I can count on myself to take all the possible dangers and consequences into account before performing an action.
Perhaps this is why I grew into not being able to trust anyone else with something that needs to be done, because since I was 6 years old and up until today I always observed the other kids in kindergarten\school and had got the impression of "Look at those idiots, acting impulsively without thinking 1 second ahead. I must never trust them with anything that is related to me".

Also, I knew how to spell responsibility when I was 13 (8th grade), and English is not even my mother tongue (although you were probably referring to the metaphorical meaning of "cant spell responsibility", but whatever).
