The Legend of Zelda games are each completely different stories, but with the same basic story. Like, for instance, Ocarina of Time happens 100+ years before Wind Waker (as stated in the game's actual story line), but both revolve around Link saving the world/land/ocean/whatever and defeating Ganondorf. Even some Zelda games involve other baddies, like Vaati.
