Now that, good sir, is a sentiment I disagree with for two reasons. First, in my games (and all the ones I've played before coming here), there were always vanilla town and vanilla mafia roles, and the games never seemed particularly unbalanced. Second, again in every game I've seen before here, there was no tiered killing. As long as the mafia has one member, they can kill. I usually have a godfather that calls the shots (read: sends me the official "we are killing ___" PM) and detects as a townie, as well as one or two other special roles in the mafia (depending on the number of players). But we'll see how it plays out, I guess. Also, Dark: I know playing vanilla townie can be a little boring, but as I said before I vastly prefer games that involve a fair number of vanillas to everyone-has-a-role games. My advice to you is to pray to the RNG (the vile, evil, son of a mother that it is) that you get a powered role. >_>
