I'd say both are interesting. I mean, this skill improves some attacking skills, like meso explosion + pickpocket combo, and also defense, with meso guard.
On Night Lords, it helps in a different way. We get better mobbing, and better optimization. Drain is improved, star usage is lowered. And to top it, every time we recharge a star, we get a free 100% critical attack... So also offensively.
It's like a little advanced mastery... Only on the stuff each class is best at.
