There's no point in bug fixes before the entire program is rewritten with Big Bang. Will fixing bugs now help players? Hell yeah. But they won't do it: it's not cost-effective. In general, reducing social ill does a lot less toward building public support than maximizing output. People just aren't grateful when they get a leg up
