It's being allowed by Infection, and is something that I personally feel is wrong with how the host is running it. I'm pissed that it's allowed, but if it's allowed, I can't fault you for doing it. I do feel that it takes away from the game when people are allowing non-game incidents to affect gameplay. It is metagaming, and it's not within the spirit of the game. However, it's not explicitly cheating, so do whatever you want.
