Why do you think I'm Zerg, though? Because I have a detective role and Lord Xela claims that I'm Zerg? Let me ask you, if I were Zerg, why would I go public with my investigations and bring unneeded attention to myself when I could just as easily tell my fellow mafians what I've discovered and let them take care of it with a night kill? Honestly, I would be stupid for revealing what I have if I were Zerg. Maybe you'd think I was attempting a fakeclaim as detective, and seeing as I have detective powers you wouldn't be dumb to think that, but if this were the case, the real detective could easily (and most likely would) check me out at night and blow my cover completely.
Edit: Another thing, in a scenario where I'm a member of the Zerg, my team probably would have made a kill last night, as we would have known I'm not really the detective and thus would have targeted somebody else. This is of course an assumption, but it seems likely that the Zerg and maybe even the Protoss targeted me last night, with the doctor preventing both kills.
