The boss thing, it's a big "friggin" deal, because Maple gets flooded with illegal stuff that destroys other things obtained legally. It doesn't just hurt merchants, it hurts everyone and makes everything else go cuckoo.
So we can either have essential items be insanely expensive and rare because d'ickbag players hog bosses and use illicit means to prevent anyone else from even attempting to run or we can have them be too readily accessible because d'ickbag players use illicit means to kill bosses at an insane rate.
