When you get to Wind Cliff III, you may want to stop and farm on a boss there. It's called Pony Brother; it looks like a large black lion-dog with two pink stars sticking out of its head and a spiked ball for a tail. Level: 15
Stats: Defence +5, Physical Damage +21, HP +80, MP +80
That insane damage boost beats EVERYTHING up to Lv50 outright. That is, if you can stand how gay it looks.
Another thing you may want to take note of is, if you happen to chance upon a Stone Lion Statue with a Red Ball under its paws, BREAK IT. It gives you something very nice. I can't exactly remember what it was and I can't check either because I didn't note it down (I got it on my Mage).
As a Swordsman, you can farm the Job Advancement Boss Mark. He's easy as heck to kill and he drops ALL Lv30 equipment. You can farm him till you get ones with good stats.
