I found that very selfish of Aang and showed just how spoiled he was. Despite the fact that another Airbender told him that sometimes you have to do something you don't want to for the greater good of the world he still whined about having to kill someone. And the whole thing about showing Ozai mercy by letting him live was also flawed since he'll most likely go through worst in prison than if he was killed by Aang.
And as for the whole thing about Aang killing Ozai being wrong for a kid's show, this is the same show that showed Firelords wiping out entire races, right?
