We had this event last year and it didnt replace the normal minidungeon. You enter it by an npc outside the dungeon. It was a great success and everyone has been waiting for this event to come back.
The alien event is NOT visitor event. Its just another event with same capture like ariant pq.
As for CWKPQ, we do not have phantom forest or crimsonwood keep, but the mirror brings us straight to the entrance of the pq and the rewards are NOT nerfed.

I see, in GMS when we had that event, it replaced the ordinary minidungeons and well... Most of us were not happy. Though, we are "capturing" aliens as part of the visitor event, it's just with cameras instead of Pokeballs. and yes i'm aware of the mirror, but just the PQ by itself is extremely disappointing given that it means you're missing out on all the great quests (EXP and story wise), great spots (Windraiders, etc.) and just generally more area to explore. Seeing that completely broken version of the Naricain though, I imagine there'll be too much focus on that for anyone to realize what you're missing.
