Beware of GM Impersonators

To help you distinguish between real GMs and GM impersonators, we have put together some tips for you.

1. GMs appear in game with a floating rotating GM sign with wings.

2. GMs will never contact you through Whispers.

3. GMs will never threaten to ban you if you do not give up items, mesos or your account information.

4. GMs will never ask for your PIC or password.

5. GMs do not talk or contact players with screen effects that look like the weather system.

6. Under specific and rare circumstances, GMs may contact you in game through Chat. Be sure the GM is wearing the obvious GM gear (the hat and/or briefcase with “W” is a clear indication).

7. GMs will never contact you in game ever, with only one exception. If by some freak accident, your ticket reaches a human and your problem forces them to log on, they may begrudgingly talk to you.


You know, if GMs were on more, no one would fall for these impersonations. I bet there are some players who haven't ever seen a GM. Hell, I haven't seen a GM in years. You know something's wrong when there are less GM sightings than Bigfoot sightings.
