honestly, i can only think of a vague interpretation of the clues.

Clue 1: BREAKING NEWS : "But where are those good old fashioned values...On which we used to rely?!"
my take on this is more something like 'no matter what, you cannot trust anyone.' trust used to be a big thing with families of old, and anymore that seems to be lacking. so how it applies to the game is don't trust anyone.
yeah, thats kind of a given, given the nature of this game. but the second clue...

Clue 2:BREAKING NEWS : "This news is breaking apart. | There's a single face on the cube of safety. A fourteen or higher shall land you a critical in this game. | Only Wisdom Crystal Ores can form Wisdom Crystals."
i think that the clue is actually three-fold, not four.
1-'The news is breaking apart' could mean someone is tampering with the flow of information, like a hacker is disrupting what gets out; i read that as the news was static and hard to understand. so maybe someone has the ability to alter the clues or the flow of data?
2-the mentioning of a cube makes me think of chance. maybe its ray taunting us with how yesterday people were thinking of relying on chance to lynch someone, maybe it is referring to how the game can be unpredictable, iuno. the main thing i get from the mention of dice is chance/luck. what the number means i cant figure out, but the number must mean something. anyone here familiar with DnD and how their dicerolls play out?
3-this one is my favorite: only wisdom ores can form a wisdom crystal. i gather that this clue means we must work together with what limited knowledge we can gather to form a better sense of the larger picture and win the game.

so yeah. i know that my interpretations of the clues so far arent really helpful, just wanted to get my thoughts out.

I still tend to think the first one is a clue to who silenced y0shi rather than anything else. If someone else is silenced the next day, perhaps we'll have a better clue as to who was responsible.

As for the second clue, and your first suggestion, that's not a bad idea, but I would guess that at most, they could only tamper with one line of the clue. Any more than that would be too much power.

Your second suggestion isn't bad, a die would make sense. And excluding the fact that there aren't quite enough, a D20 would fit the bill. However, since we don't have 20 players, the critical would have be lower on the scale, or as Ray put it, around 14. Now usually criticals are rare, but good things, they do double the damage. If we're applying that logic to the clue, that would seem to suggest that someone amongst the remaining three is doubly dangerous to the mafia or townies. However, given that it is a clue to the killer, that would seem to imply that it's a mafia member. Or even a step further could be taken, and two of them could be mafia, thus the whole doubling is in effect in a different way. Either way, I would say that interpretation supports my theory so far, just as well as before.

And as for your third suggestion, I believe that could be an accurate viewpoint, we have to choose wisely amongst the three suggested people within or we'll kill a townie. That would follow with the previous ideas suggested. Of course, the reality is that the clue is likely much simpler than we're making it out to be. Ray probably had a very specific idea in mind when he wrote it, so most of this discussion doesn't matter so long as we get the basic ideas he wanted to convey correct. So far I have yet to hear any other reasonable theories as to who the clue might apply to, so while I enjoyed your viewpoints, they don't seem to conflict with my theory very much, if at all, and thus has done very little to change my voting decision.

For the moment, I will vote as the others have, though if someone can provide a suitable logic for why y0shi or SteelSeraph should get my vote, I am willing to change it. I will not change it for anyone else though, because as I said before, I am relatively confident that even if I got most of the meaning wrong with the remaining clue, one of the people above CoB is his killer.
