Does GMS need the BB patch ASAP?

I want a Windows 7 compatible client before anything gets done. I'm unable to play the game because of this stupid issue. I want Big Bang as much as the next guy, but there are too many issues right now that have not already been fixed yet. Big Bang will probably just bring even more problems.
