I would assume then it's due to Pink Bean originally being an "unbeatable" boss. Other servers were only able to kill it when it got nerfed (12 hour timer) I think. We have potential gear and apples, most of us aren't fully potentialed, but still. We also have chaos pendants and chaos helms in our arsenal for higher hp/survivability as well as a damage boost. Not to mention dragon glasses (attack glasses), attack belts, and certain other items. Pink bean, being released before everything mentioned, I would then have to assume it was not meant to be defeated, and if it weren't meant to be defeated, there's no reason to have a quest requiring its defeat.
