Im actually only ~35 minutes from my campus, but parking is 16 bucks for a day pass and something like 165 bucks for each semester. On top of that, there is basically 1 parking lot and its on one side of the campus and is usually full. Living in a dorm means i can basically leave my car parked in the housing lot and walk across a small road to my classes.
