It's not like you're getting nothing for your money spent. You are. It just doesn't have any real world currency value. You should know before hand that anything you buy with this has no value, just like anything in any game has no real world value.
How exactly do you want Nexon to make money? Donations?
you're implying that they haven't made enough money prior to the release of this overpriced item to be one of the most profitable mmo companies in the world. they did just fine prior to the release of pam's song, cutting the price in half wouldn't hurt them (it would probably make them more money or just as much, as well as making them available to many more people)
they could always earn money by providing a reputable service, which is something they continuously fall short of. that would make charging astronomical fees for monopoly money seem a little more reasonable.
