Also, as I just mentioned on IRC, there was a rule change I was hoping to try imposing (I was expecting to host the next one). That rule being as follows: the same rules regarding the discussion thread I had in my game will apply to IRC - no serious game-related discussion can occur there. I say this for two reasons:
1) I know Mibbit makes IRC easy to access, but there are still the people who don't have the time to get on IRC and have a long discussion. It's much easier for said people to be able to look through the thread and post a reply, and it doesn't take much time.
2) What happened to Seraph. Yes, he was mafia scum. But the fact remains that the entire plan to vote him to death was apparently discussed in IRC, and then the day was just a giant unexplained bandwagon. For people who weren't in IRC or don't have time to use it, it's nice to be able to actually see the reasons for decisions and have a chance to defend themselves.
Again, it wouldn't necessarily be a permanent rule. I just want to try it out for at least one game and see how it goes. Maybe people will like it more, maybe they'll like it less. It's worth trying, though.
Also, I was going to put a ban on private discussion between non-mafia/masons/lovers, just to cut down on the threat of supermasonry. Dunno how people feel about that idea, but I know at least some of the players in my first game were very annoyed with the large quantities of communication.
