There was so much drama over who got to play what role for this play in my High School. The Pirates of Penzance generated so much controversy that it ended up being one of the most popular plays in the school. If not for the amount of trash-talking from the substitutes in the play, some people breaking down from the emotional stress, and everyone criticizing each others performance every step of the way. It was fun to watch.
