Personally, between the levles of 55-70, I don't even see what's the point of getting tornado spin at all. The time to activate the dash and the damage it does that early in levels is laughable. Between those levels, the best thing to do would be using triple stab and slash storm (this skill is normally used that early in order to cover some distance and get into the body of the mob so you can easily hit them all with triple stab). The only time I ever use tornado spin is when I chain it after Flying Assaulter, which I do quite often because I'd easily press the attack button after the Flying Assaulter skill. It's true that when you lag you can barely activate Flying Assaulter, which I've seen several times when the server is lagging and your mobs just stand there. If you truly hate the skill and can't use it, I suggest you use Bloody storm or Upperstab.
Otherwise, for people that normally lag, you'll have even bigger issues using Final Cut when you'd practically kill yourself because you can't use your potions fast enough (this skill will almost always get you hit even if you don't lag and can kill them in one shot because you'd move too fast for the death animation to happen). Even chaining skills in between Chains of Hell becomes hard to do because you take too long to use a skill that you'd most likely get hit before you'd get a chance to repeat the skills. I've seen myself lag sometimes that I'd get nuked by Zakum while in dark sight mode being unable to pot or even attack because I have no mp which is the worst case scenario when you really want to get out of that or you'd die.
edit: Actually more directly related to the opening of the thread, I do agree that when you're trying to move and end up accidentally hitting the same arrow keys twice you'd end up using TS. While in TS mode, you do get sort of stuck and can't properly attack. Best thing to do in that situation is to jump and break the dash animation so just use a skill in the air like triple stab or FA.
