Hardly an excuse, I am sure they make enough from all there other games and such to pay for anything they wanted to do. Potential system is a pure money making thing, plain and simple.
I am not debating wether potential system is a money making strategy or not, i'm debating the why they wanted to make that money. GMS makes thousands over thousands of $ per year, yet the game is falling down, while on the other hand KMS uses that money to developt their game and make it more attractive in to the actual gamer. Which one seems worse to you? Given GMS uses the money to buy new content from KMS but whats the point of adding content over content if you cannot sustain it.
Also, if you had 2 complanies and one of them required an investment, you wouldn't take money out of the one thats running good to put it on the other one, unless it was strictly necessary, which is not KMS's case.
