Im new to maplestory

Did I screw up? I figured as a warrior i would need a lot of hp....

So far, you're good. Like said before, don't add any AP into HP, MP, INT, or LUK. As for what your SP should be in, so far your good. 5 in Improved HP Recovery, then Max out Max HP Increase. Then, add points into Power Strike and Slash Blast however you wish until both of them are maxed.

You can then put your remaining points into anything. Endure, Iron Body, or Improved HP Recovery. Personally, since warriors have a lot of HP, I don't think they need much DEF, so Iron Body is useless. Improved HP recovery isn't great either, seeing as if you use a chair, it will only recover 10 more HP per second. So I'd put everything into endure.

Have you decided what second job you want? Fighter, page, or spearman? Fighters have skills that improve their attack, allowing them to hit hard, and if they use 1h swords, fast too (althought 1h swords are weaker). Pages get skills to reduce an enemy's DEF and ATT. In the third and fourth job they get elemental skills, allowing them to use Ice, Fire, Lightning, and Holy magic to attack enemies. Spearman have Hyper Body, which increases HP and MP by a LOT. In the third and fourth job, spearmen are the king of mobs. They have multiple skills that allow them to hit many monsters at a time.

You also need to decide what weapon to use. Fighters either use axes or swords. Unless you wanna be unique, choose swords. Axes aren't that great. Spearman use a spear or a polearm. Many people use both. Pages use Blunt Weapons or swords. Swords have stabler damage, but BWs can hit higher.

Just an added note, if you're gonna be a page/fighter who uses swords, it's best to use 2h swords UNLESS you have an attack shield. If you have a 15 or higher attack shield (which I don't think you have xD), a 2h sword will be more powerful.

Also, try looking at guides for your specific class. I find the BasilMarket has some excellent guides, despite many of the people there being pretty moronic.
