My android gear has been sitting in my inventory untouched since the release of potential items.
Along with the level difference being an issue the advantages that three line potential items grant over two line potential items needs to also be factored in. Sure you can get lucky and get a few 3 line potential gears from one set but in order to take full advantage from it you'd need to make several sets and it's just not cost-efficient anymore at that point.
it's only a 15 att bonus -- it is nice, but not worth the effort nowadays.
