and i was trying not to do this...
It's not some "i know better than you" thing, it's an enormous hole in the logic here that could easily be prevented. A quick search of these very forums would make it clear that JMS didn't have any involvement in the creation of masteria. Fact is, though, that the first post is riddled with those types of errors. "Naricain is worshipped as a satanic god in Nihal" - where did you hear this? The only relationship there is that John says he saw an image of Naricain and Subani there. Somehow that's become the base for the huge leap to "worshipped as satan"?
Not to mention that there's an intrinsic misunderstanding of how the development teams and exclusive content work together from what we've seen. Then again none of this is particularly surprising because as far as i can tell, it's a run-of-the-mill post from this particular user:
Thread title that screams "I've made an important discovery!" Critical misunderstanding, flawed initial assumption, illogical and irrelevant conclusion.
Are there little things that tie the GMS plotline to the main storylines from KMS? Yes, the diary that ray mentioned for example, but they never subvert the possible changes that might come from KMS. Incorrect facts and missteps of logic aside, what if Nexon america did go through with the proposed storyline from the first post? Then one day KMS decides they want to explore the background of the Black Magician and it contradicts what GMS has established? There's either going to be massive continuity problems (hasn't stopped them before, but there's not much point in trying to give a villain a detailed backstory if you're going to leave plotholes lying around) or they're going to have to alter the new stuff from KMS to fit with what's already here, if that's even possible. But that just creates more and more problems as things get added until everything is different - heck, you really can look to JMS for this one, they've done it so much that it's hard to tell it's related to KMS at all.
Point is, if you're going to try to boldly declare a new theory it not only needs to have a reasonable basis and be consistent with the known facts, but you need to take the above types of considerations into account. There are a lot of things that are *possible*, but highly unlikely if you take the development processes into consideration.
