it depends on whether or not it's serverside. if someone who extracts can see the acquisition rate of these scrolls then it probably requires a patch. if not, then it's something they can edit while the game is down
for those abusing this: is the acquisition rate of your method 100%? if so, then it probably requires a patch.
that said, there are steps nexon can take to remove it without a patch, like making cassandra disappear in the same manner that they made gaga appear.
