1H or 2H blunt weapons?

Most Blunt Weapons may be slower than their sword counterparts, but there are some fast maces like the Crushed Skill that do just fine.

The crushed skull is a normal speed weapon, so still trailing behind every 1h sword.
Though I do agree with the rest of what you wrote. If you are in it for fun and don't have that damage whore attitude that a lot of people develop then there is nothing wrong with going with a bw.

However, if you are doing it because it seems like it is cheaper and you think you can actually get a better dps out of it, then stick to swords and buy a cs cover if the looks bother you that much.
