Rick's Laptop Won't Charge

I plug the thing in to my laptop, and nothing happens. It has been doing this for ages, but generally wriggling the chord around a bit will make it find the right spot where it'll work. However that didn't work this time. It's old and the spot around where it connects to the head is worn. Chances are the wires inside are damaged. I'm over this garbage, I just bought a new charger and am seeing if I can pick it up tomorrow. Just sucks how I have to spend about $40 on a new charger a few weeks before I replace the whole laptop. But hey, this is the stuff that happens to me.
