Getting 30+ AP resets is irrelevant if I couldn't afford the INT gears to wash 30 times to begin with. Not to mention you'd have to power level a ton in a short amount of time (while powerleveling ring mules to begin with) and even then it wouldn't be enough AP resets to take me up to 7k base HP at a reasonable level--in fact, I don't think I'd hit it at all.
EDIT: Okay, perhaps I'm making this too centered around myself, so let me try to pose this a different way: how is the average mapler going to have a shot at taking on these bosses if they have ridiculous HP requirements, especially those who make ranged characters? Or rather, the average mapler who is unwilling or unable to shell out tons of in-game and real life money in order to gain a good amount of HP? Now, yes, there are the free AP resets but A. these may not be enough to take the character in question all the way to the required amount of HP, B. the character in question may not have the time to use all of them in the allotted time frame, C. the character may be made after the event with the free AP resets, or D. the character may not have enough INT to wash all the way to begin with. We talk of characters having 20 ATT wgs, 21 Stat Helms, 7 ATT PACs, and 7k base HP like it's nothing, but a lot of people, especially unfunded, can't just make that kind of dough to afford all that--hell, I have a Corsair buddy of mine who still didn't have a dep star or a good overall at level 122 and I had to make an overall for him and I'm going to buy him a MoN just so he can use a Concerto (in fact he didn't have the money for that either so I gave him my old one). There are far more characters than those that post in damage flaunting threads and whatnot, and what I'm saying is, why should unfunded players--no, anyone who's not super-funded--not even have a chance at fighting a boss ever? That's poor design if you ask me. The best of the best should have the best chance at taking on bosses, not the only chance.
