I see people using these right away given their current stats, then using potential and blowing up their gear, leaving them completely unable to use their weapon for the time being. Leading to some people needing to buy more of them to be able to at least earn another set of gear.
My advice, keep them in your inventory till you potential your stuff if you are going to before being set on an adjusted base. For me, most likely I'll go back and use it on some really old alts that were made in the dice creation era that needed fixed.
EDIT: What happens if they rush BB and say, "Reset? Oh, we gave you the free reset a few months ago, you should have researched."
